Differentiation
Pupils who learn fast will generate more examples and label patterns for longer words, including words with more than one syllable. Pupils who need support will work with word cards and the V/C chart, using guided examples before attempting new words.
Note for teachers using this lesson plan
Write V and C clearly and keep examples simple so pupils can identify patterns quickly. During the drama activity, set clear roles and time limits, and ensure the performance ends with a clear lesson about nrubere and good behaviour.
