The following are ways of welcoming a visitor:

  • Ikele na ịjụ maka ahụike/ụzọ ha si bịa.
  • Inye oche ma ọ bụ ebe dị mma ka ọbịa nọdụ.
  • Inye mmiri ma ọ bụ ihe ọṅụṅụ dabere n’ụlọ.

Note for teachers using this lesson plan

Insist on clear structure and correct Igbo expressions when pupils write edemede nkọwasị, and encourage the use of linking words for good flow. When teaching hospitality, guide pupils to focus on respect and kindness without mocking any community practice. During iduuazị analysis, ensure pupils support their points with what happened in the passage.
