Instructional Procedures
Step 1: Introduction
Time: 5 minutes
Teaching Skill: Set Induction
Teacher’s Activity: The teacher reads a short dialogue from a written play and asks pupils to identify that it is drama, not a normal story, based on the speaking format and character names.
Pupils’ Activity: Pupils listen, mention signs of a play text, and respond to questions.

Pupils’ Activity: Pupils mention one example for each purpose and record them in their notebooks.
Learning Point: Drama teaches lessons, corrects behaviour, creates awareness, and entertains.

Time: 7 minutes
Teaching Skill: Guided Practice
Teacher’s Activity: The teacher divides pupils into groups, gives each group a short play excerpt, and instructs them to identify the jigo and one purpose shown.
