Farm Records
meaning of Farm records
Farm records are documents that provide detailed data about various aspects of a farm’s operations. They help farmers track income, expenses, production levels, and other vital data, enabling them to make informed decisions and improve their farming practices.
Meaning and Purpose of a Farm Record
A farm record is an organised account of farm activities, resources, output or money. A useful entry identifies the date, item or activity, quantity and value where relevant. Memory alone is not a record because it cannot be checked consistently.
Records help a farmer plan, measure progress, trace problems and support decisions. Personal information and financial records should be stored securely.
Meaning of Farm Records
A farm record is an organised written or digital account of farm activities, resources, production or money. A useful entry states the date, item or activity, quantity and value where necessary.
Records help a farmer know what was bought, used, produced, sold or lost. The next lesson explains the main types of farm records. Records support planning and accountability, but an estimate should be labelled instead of entered as an exact measurement.
