These are the main groups that protect Nigeria and its people.

The following are major security agencies in Nigeria:

1. Nigeria Police Force
2. Nigerian Army

6. Nigeria Security and Civil Defense corps
7. National intelligence Agency
8. Economic and Financial Crimes commission (EFCC)

These include the work each agency does to keep Nigeria safe.

4. Nigerian Air Force protects the air and supports land soldiers
5. Department of state Services collects secret information to stop crime
6. Civil Defence guards critically important places and helps in emergencies
7. Intelligence Agency gathers and reports foreign security news
8. The EFCC investigates financial crimes like fraud and money laundering.
9. The ICPC prevents corruption in government and public service.
10. The NDLEA combats drug trafficking and abuse.
