Rationale for the Lesson

Understanding God’s purpose for creation helps pupils appreciate God’s power and their role as responsible stewards of the earth. This fosters a sense of responsibility towards the surroundings and promotes ethical behavior.

God’s Purpose for Creation

God created everything for a reason. Ther are several reasons why God created the world.

For His Praise & Glory

The main reason God created the world is to show His power and glory. When we look at nature, the universe, and life, we see God’s power and creativity. The Bible says God created the world “for his own glory” (Ephesians 1:11-14). [[2]]

For Man’s Stewardship

God created the world for humans to care for. We are responsible to be good stewards. This means taking care of the environment, protecting animals, and using resources wisely. God gave humans “dominion” over the earth (Genesis 1 & 2). [[2]]

For Nurturing Life

God created the world so life can flourish. He designed the earth to provide everything living things need to survive. From air to food, God provides.
