- Non-isometric lines are lines that are not parallel to the isometric axes and are not drawn to their true lengths directly.
- Hidden lines are usually omitted unless they are necessary for clarity.
Construction of Simple Isometric Blocks
Simple isometric blocks include cubes and rectangular prisms. They are constructed by drawing the isometric axes and then measuring the true lengths along these axes and their parallels.
The steps for constructing a simple isometric block are:
- Draw the isometric axes (one vertical, two at 30 degrees to the horizontal).
- Mark the dimensions (length, width, height) along the isometric axes.
- Draw lines parallel to the axes from these points to complete the block.
Isometric Circles (Four-Centre Method)
An isometric circle appears as an ellipse in isometric projection. The four-centre method is a common technique for drawing an isometric circle accurately.
The steps for drawing an isometric circle using the four-centre method are:
- Draw an isometric square (rhombus) that encloses the circle.
