Domestic violence is harmful behavior within a family, often hurting women and children. This can include hitting, shouting, threats, or ignoring them. Children suffer when they see or experience this.

Here are some ways to ensure child security:

Domestic Violence and Child Security

Domestic violence is harmful or controlling behaviour within a family or intimate relationship. It may be physical, sexual, emotional or economic and can include threats, isolation and destruction of property. A child who witnesses it is also affected.

Violence is never the child’s fault. Move to a safer place when possible, tell a trusted adult or protection professional and seek emergency help for immediate danger. Do not intervene physically between violent adults.
