The following are ways of preventing domestic injuries:
- Keep sharp objects like knives and blades out of children’s reach.
- Always wipe water or oil spills on the floor to avoid slipping.
- Store chemicals and medicines safely and away from food items.
- Use electrical appliances carefully and switch them off after use.
- Avoid playing rough games inside the house.
- Provide proper lighting in the house, especially at night.
- Use fire extinguishers or buckets of water in case of fire outbreaks.
Road Traffic Accidents
Road traffic accidents are crashes or injuries that occur on the road involving vehicles, pedestrians, or cyclists. They can cause serious damage or even death.
The following are ways of preventing road traffic accidents:
- Obey all traffic rules and regulations.
- Always use pedestrian crossings or footbridges.
- Do not run across the road carelessly.
- Drivers should avoid over-speeding.
