uses Of Title Bar
The title bar is the top bar of a word processor window. It displays the open document’s name and shows if unsaved changes exist.
The following are uses of the title bar:
- Displays Document Name: Shows the name of the open document.
- Indicates Unsaved Changes: Shows an asterisk (*) if changes are unsaved.
- Shows Request Name: Displays the word processor’s name (e.g., microsoft Word).
- Minimizing the Window: Contains buttons to minimize the window.
- Closing the Application: Has a close button (“X”) to exit the program.
- Maximizing the Window: Contains buttons to maximize the window.
- restoring the Window: allows restoring the window to its previous size.
Uses of Menu Bars
The menu bar is below the title bar.It contains menus like File, Edit, View, etc.
These include:
- Opening Documents: The “File” menu opens new or existing documents.
- Saving Documents: “Save” or “Save as” in the “File” menu saves your work.
- Editing text: The “edit” menu helps cut, copy, and paste text.
- Formatting text: The “Format” menu changes font styles, sizes, and applies bold or italics.
- Printing Documents: The “File” menu prints your document.
- Inserting Objects: The “Insert” menu allows adding pictures, shapes, and symbols.
- Viewing Options: The “view” menu changes how the document is displayed.
