Meaning of Lust and Greed

Lust and greed are bad desires that make people behave wrongly. Lust means having strong and wrong feelings for something,especially what is not yours. Greed is the strong desire to get more and more things like money, food, or possessions.

Memory Verse: Take heed and beware of covetousness, for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. – Luke 12:15

The Parable of the Rich Fool

Jesus told a story about a rich man whose land produced plenty of crops.Instead of sharing,he decided to build bigger barns to store everything for himself. He said to himself he woudl rest and enjoy his wealth.But God called him a fool and told him he would die that night. This shows that greed can lead to destruction.

Other Things That Make People Fall into Temptation
