Contentment is the state of being satisfied with what one has, without unnecessary desire for more. Lack of contentment makes people engage in wrong acts to satisfy greed.

The following are effects of lack of contentment on society:

Corruption in government and institutions.
Greed and selfishness among citizens.
Envy and jealousy that break relationships.
Theft and robbery due to insatiable desires.
Prostitution as a result of desire for quick wealth.
Cheating and dishonesty in business and education.
Social unrest, violence, and insecurity.

Meaning of Discipline

Discipline means training the mind and body to obey rules, laws, or standards of behavior. It helps individuals to control themselves and do what is right even when difficult.

Attributes of Discipline

A disciplined person shows qualities that make them respected and trusted in society.

The following are attributes of discipline:

Self-control – ability to restrain oneself from harmful or wrong actions.
Moderation – avoiding excesses in behavior, desires, or actions.
Modesty – being humble and decent in words, dressing, and behavior.
Respect for legitimate authority – obeying rules, leaders, and laws of the society.
Punctuality – keeping to time and fulfilling obligations promptly.
Responsibility – carrying out duties faithfully and accepting the results of actions.
