Ways Of Overcoming Temptation
Temptation is when someone feels the urge to do something wrong. Jesus was tempted, but He did not fall into sin. We can also say no to temptation like Jesus did.
Memory Verse: Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. – matthew 26:41

The Temptation of Jesus
Jesus went into the wilderness to pray and fast for 40 days. After that, the devil came to tempt him. The devil tempted Jesus three times:
- First, he told Jesus to turn stones into bread.
- Second, he asked Jesus to jump from the top of the temple to prove He is the Son of god.
- Third,he offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world if He would worship him.
But Jesus said NO each time. He used the Word of God to overcome the devil.
Lessons from the Temptation of Jesus
- Jesus showed us that we can overcome temptation.
- The Bible is powerful against temptation.
- Fasting and prayer make us spiritually strong.
The following are ways of overcoming temptation:
- Praying to God always
- Reading and obeying the Word of God
- Avoiding bad friends and places
- Saying NO to sin and wrong desires
- Trusting God and depending on his strength
- Thinking about the results of our actions
- Asking for help from parents, teachers or pastors
- Keeping good company
