Democracy is a system of goverment were the people have the power to choose their leaders. It is like a big family where everyone gets to have a say in how things are run.

Agency in Charge of sensitization

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) helps people understand democracy and how to participate in it. INEC is like a teacher who explains the rules of democracy and how to vote for our leaders.

Duties of the National Orientation Agency

The National Orientation Agency helps people understand their rights and responsibilities in a democratic society. It’s like a guide that helps us know what we can do and what we should do to make our democracy strong. The following are some of its duties:

1. Educating the public about their rights and responsibilities.
2. Promoting national unity and patriotism.
3. Encouraging citizens to participate in the democratic process.
4. Disseminating information about government policies and programs.
5. Fostering a sense of national identity and pride.
