Examples of the Executive Arm of Government

The executive arm of government is responsible for implementing and enforcing laws. It is made up of leaders who oversee different aspects of governance.They are:

  1. The President – The head of the executive arm at the federal level.
  2. Governors – Leaders of each state in the federation.
  3. Ministers – Federal leaders in charge of specific ministries (e.g., Education, Health).
  4. Commissioners – State-level officials overseeing various ministries.
  5. Local Government Chairmen – Leaders of local councils.
  6. Secretary to the state Government – The principal administrative officer in the state.
  7. Special Advisers – Appointed to advise the President or governor on specific policy areas.
