Parents and guardians whose children participated in the 2026 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) can now check their placement status for admission into Federal Unity Colleges for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The Federal Government recently released the 2026/2027 Federal Unity Colleges admission list for candidates offered places in Junior Secondary School One (JSS1). The Federal Ministry of Education directed successful candidates to check their admission status, print their admission slips and proceed to their assigned colleges to complete the admission process.
Where to Check Federal Unity Colleges Placement
Candidates and their parents can check the placement status online through the FME Posting Portal.
The portal can be accessed at:
The portal is being used to verify candidates’ 2026/2027 Unity College placements and provide admission slips for successful candidates.
Steps to Check 2026/2027 Unity Colleges Placement Online
Parents and guardians can follow these steps to check whether their child has been offered admission.
Step 1: Visit the FME Posting Portal
Open a web browser on your phone, tablet or computer and visit the FME Posting Portal.
Step 2: Log in to the portal
Enter the required candidate details on the portal. The candidate’s NCEE examination or registration details may be required to access the placement information.
Step 3: Check the placement status
After logging in, check the candidate’s admission or placement status. The portal will indicate whether the candidate has been offered a place in a Federal Unity College.
If admission has been offered, the name of the assigned Federal Unity College should be displayed.
Step 4: Print the admission slip
Candidates who have been successfully placed should download and print their admission slip.
The admission slip is important because it contains the details of the Federal Unity College where the candidate has been placed.
Step 5: Report to the assigned school
After printing the admission slip, the successful candidate should proceed to the Federal Unity College indicated on the slip for confirmation and completion of the required admission formalities.
What Parents Should Do After Checking the Placement
Parents and guardians should carefully review all information on the admission slip before travelling to the assigned school.
Successful candidates should keep copies of their admission documents and follow any additional instructions provided by their respective Federal Unity Colleges.
Parents should also avoid relying on unofficial social media posts or third-party websites when checking their children’s placement. It is advisable to use the designated FME Posting Portal or contact the relevant Federal Unity College for clarification.
The Federal Ministry of Education also maintains an official directory of Federal Unity Colleges and their websites, which parents can use to identify their child’s assigned school.
What If You Cannot Check the Placement Online?
Parents who experience difficulties accessing the portal should try again later, particularly if the website is experiencing heavy traffic.
They can also check the notice board of the relevant Federal Unity College, as the Federal Ministry of Education has indicated that admission information may also be available through the respective colleges.
Parents should ensure that they enter the candidate’s details correctly and avoid sharing sensitive examination information with unverified individuals claiming to offer assistance.
2026/2027 Unity Colleges Admission
The 2026/2027 Federal Unity Colleges admission exercise follows the release of the 2026 NCEE results.
The Federal Government reported that 60,357 candidates registered for the 2026 NCEE, while 56,950 candidates sat for the examination. Admission into the Federal Unity Colleges is based on the approved criteria of 60 per cent merit, 30 per cent equality of states and 10 per cent exigency.
Parents are therefore encouraged to check their children’s placement promptly and ensure that candidates who have been offered admission complete the required procedures within the stipulated period.
