This lesson helps pupils understand how they can definitely help make Nigeria safe and secure by following simple safety rules and practices.

Pupils have learned about the importance of security and the dangers of insecurity in the community.

Ways Of ensuring National Security
National security means protecting our country from danger and making sure people live in peace. We all have a part to play in keeping Nigeria safe and secure.
The following are ways of ensuring national security:
- Obeying Laws and Rules: We must follow the laws made by the government to keep everyone safe.
- Supporting Security Agencies: security agencies work to protect us from harm. We can help them by cooperating with them.
- Practicing Good Citizenship: Good citizens help make the country safe by doing the right things.
- Being Security Conscious: Being alert helps stop bad things from happening.
- Promoting Education: Educated citizens are more likely to understand and respect laws and contribute positively to society.
- Respecting Diversity: A united nation is a strong nation. Respecting different cultures, religions, and ethnicities promotes unity and reduces conflict.
- Protecting the Environment: Environmental degradation can lead to resource scarcity and conflict. Protecting our environment ensures lasting resources for all.
