    • Pictures of various craft works from different regions of Nigeria.
    • Whiteboard or chart paper.
    • Markers.

    Rationale for the Lesson

    Understanding the location of craft works helps pupils appreciate cultural diversity and the skills of artisans. This knowledge builds a foundation for future lessons on art appreciation and cultural heritage.


    Prerequisite/Previous Knowledge

    The teacher will begin by asking pupils what they know about things made by hand. The teacher will than show pictures of different crafts, sparking discussion about where they might be made.

    Craft works are things people make using their hands and creative skills. They are often found in places with special traditions and skills.

    Craft works are frequently enough associated with specific regions due to the availability of resources, cultural practices, and historical developments.These include:
