Performance Objectives

By the end of the lesson,pupils should be able to:

  • Cognitive Domain: Identify at least four benefits of caring for our environment
  • Affective Domain: Show interest in keeping their surroundings clean
  • Psychomotor Domain: Demonstrate ways of keeping the environment clean in class
  • Social Domain: Participate in group discussions on how to protect the environment

Lesson Content

Benefits of Caring For Our Environment

The environment is everything around us like the air, water, land, animals, and plants. It is crucial to keep it clean and safe. When we care for our environment, we enjoy many good things.

The following are benefits of caring for our environment:

  1. It keeps us healthy
  2. It prevents the spread of diseases
  3. It makes our surroundings look beautiful
  4. It keeps animals and plants safe
  5. It gives us clean air and water
  6. It helps us enjoy playing and learning outside
  7. It makes our community happy

How to Care for Our environment

We can all help to care for our environment in simple ways. Thes include:

  1. Sweeping our surroundings daily
  2. Putting trash in the bin
  3. Planting flowers and trees
  4. Cleaning the toilet and bathroom
  5. Not littering the floor
  6. Picking up dirt when we see it
  7. Helping others keep clean places
