A House of Representatives aspirant in Edo State, Dr. Oghogho Garrick, has announced plans to sponsor 10,000 secondary school students in Egor and Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency with access to a digital learning platform.
The initiative is aimed at expanding educational opportunities and equipping young learners with modern academic tools needed to succeed in today’s technology-driven world.
According to Garrick, the programme will provide full access to the SabiDub platform, a digital learning solution designed to support students with structured lessons, interactive study tools, and academic resources tailored to improve performance.
He explained that the project reflects his commitment to youth development and the advancement of education within the constituency. He emphasized that access to quality education remains a key driver of national growth and development.
The initiative is expected to help students build stronger academic foundations while also improving their digital literacy skills, which are increasingly important in modern education systems.
Garrick, a public administration expert and international business leader, brings over 18 years of professional experience across Nigeria and the United Kingdom. He previously served as a special assistant in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Programmes Monitoring, where he contributed to policy implementation and evaluation.
In addition to his public service experience, he has built a strong presence in the private sector, serving on the boards of companies in aviation, healthcare, and real estate. He is also the founder of three healthcare firms in the United Kingdom, collectively employing over 200 people.
He reiterated that investing in education remains central to his vision for the constituency, noting that the programme will create opportunities for students and better prepare them for future academic and career success.
As preparations for the rollout reach advanced stages, residents and key stakeholders in the constituency are expected to benefit from the initiative, which aims to promote inclusive and technology-driven learning.
