CARE OF THE MOUTH AND TEETH: Toothbrush, Toothpaste and Materials for Oral Care

Keeping our mouth and teeth clean is called oral care. It helps us have healthy teeth and a fresh mouth.

• Toothbrush: This is a special brush we use to clean our teeth. It has soft bristles.
• Toothpaste: This is a cream we put on our toothbrush. It helps to clean our teeth and make them strong.
• Other materials: We also need a cup and clean water to rinse our mouth. Mouthwash is another material that helps make our breath fresh, but it is used by older children and adults.

We should brush our teeth two times every day:

• In the morning when we wake up.
• At night before we sleep.
