Nigeria’s Official List of 2026 JAMB CBT Registration Centres Released — Here’s What UTME/DE Candidates Must Know

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has published the official list of accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) registration centres for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE). Candidates across Nigeria are required to complete their registration strictly at these approved centres, as registrations carried out at unaccredited cybercafés or unofficial locations will not be recognised.

The registration exercise for the 2026 UTME officially commenced on Monday, January 26, 2026, with JAMB deploying monitoring and verification systems to ensure that all registrations are conducted in line with the board’s guidelines at approved CBT centres.

Why This Matters for Candidates

Only JAMB-accredited CBT centres are authorised to register UTME and Direct Entry candidates. Any attempt to register at an unapproved location may result in invalid registration, loss of data, or outright rejection by the board.

The approved list contains hundreds of CBT centres nationwide, covering all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), allowing candidates to choose centres that are closest to their homes or schools.

Where to Find the Official List

JAMB has made the full list of accredited CBT registration centres available on its official portal, where candidates can search by state and town.

Registration Dates & Important Deadlines

Based on JAMB’s official schedule for the 2026 examination cycle:

  • UTME registration: January 26 – February 28, 2026
  • Direct Entry (DE) registration: March 2 – April 25, 2026

Candidates are advised to complete their registration within these periods to avoid missing the examination year.

What You Need for Registration

Before visiting a JAMB-accredited CBT centre, candidates should ensure they have:

  • A valid National Identification Number (NIN)
  • A generated JAMB Profile Code (by sending NIN to 55019 or 66019)
  • A purchased UTME/DE ePIN
  • A completed JAMB registration template
  • A valid phone number and email address
  • A recent passport photograph with white background

CBT Centres & Accreditation Quality

Ahead of the 2026 UTME, JAMB screened and evaluated over 900 CBT centres nationwide to confirm that they meet the required technical, security, and operational standards. Only centres that passed these assessments were approved for registration and examination.

Tips for Candidates

  • Always verify your centre: Confirm that the CBT centre is on JAMB’s official list before registering.
  • Complete your form carefully: Mistakes during registration can delay or invalidate your application.
  • Go fully prepared: Arrive with all required details and documents to avoid multiple visits.

Summary

To participate in the 2026 JAMB UTME or Direct Entry, candidates must register at an officially accredited CBT centre. The complete list is available on JAMB’s portal and as a downloadable PDF. Registration runs from January 26 to February 28 for UTME and March 2 to April 25 for Direct Entry. Candidates should ensure they have their NIN, Profile Code, ePIN, and registration details ready before visiting any centre.
