Teacher Guide for Using This Lesson Plan
Before the lesson, ensure you have a clear understanding of the definitions of entrepreneur and entrepreneurship, and be ready with relevant, relatable examples of entrepreneurs, especially Nigerian ones. Prepare charts or write the key characteristics on the board beforehand to save time. During the lesson, encourage active participation from students, allowing them to share their understanding and examples. When discussing characteristics, prompt students to think about why each quality is important for business success. Allow sufficient time for students to copy the Board Summary notes in Step 8. Check for understanding throughout the lesson, especially during the differentiation between the two key terms. For weaker learners, simplify explanations and provide more guided questioning. For faster learners, challenge them to think critically about the challenges entrepreneurs face and how their characteristics help overcome them.
