Understanding why conflicts occur helps children manage disagreements peacefully and build better relationships in their homes,schools,and communities.

pupils have previously discussed friendship, family relationships, and behaviors that promote peace in class and at home.

Why conflicts Occur
Conflicts are disagreements or fights between people. They happen when people do not agree on something or when they hurt each othre’s feelings. It can happen at home, in school, or in the community.
Reasons Why Conflicts occur
People have conflicts for many reasons. These include when someone feels cheated or not respected. The following are reasons why conflicts occur:
- Lack of understanding
- Disagreement over ideas
- Selfish behavior
- Fighting over property
- bad communication
- Jealousy
- Disobedience
- Breaking of promises
- Dishonesty
- Unfair treatment
- Discrimination
- Cultural differences
- Religious intolerance
