Types Of Tools: Digging Tools

Digging tools are farm tools used for breaking and turning the soil. They make the soil soft and ready for planting.

These include:

  1. Hoe
  2. Pickaxe
  3. Shovel
  4. Spade
  5. Mattock

Uses of Digging Tools

Digging tools have different uses on the farm. They help in land preparation.

The following are the uses of digging tools:

  1. Hoe is used to dig and turn the soil
  2. Pickaxe is used to break hard soil or stones
  3. Shovel is used to carry loose soil or sand
  4. Spade is used to dig and lift soil
  5. Mattock is used to cut roots and dig soil
