The Government of Kwara State has commenced free online registration for the 2026 Placement Examination into public junior secondary schools across the state. The exercise will be conducted through a dedicated online platform to ensure a smooth and transparent process.

The examination, commonly referred to as the Common Entrance Examination, is intended for eligible Primary Six pupils seeking admission into public junior secondary schools in the state.

This was confirmed in a statement issued on Monday by the Press Secretary of the Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Peter Amogbonjaye.

According to the statement, registration for pupils in private primary schools will begin on Tuesday, June 9, while registration for pupils in public primary schools will commence on Friday, June 12.

The ministry explained that all registration activities must follow the official timeline, noting that the exercise will close on June 22 for all categories of schools.

It further stated that registration must be carried out through the pupils’ existing primary schools and is strictly limited to Primary Six pupils in approved public and private schools across Kwara State.

Private school administrators were also instructed to obtain clearance from the Quality Assurance Bureau before accessing the portal login credentials required for registration.

The government warned school officials against collecting any form of payment from pupils or parents, emphasizing that the registration process is completely free of charge.

It stressed that any individual found engaging in extortion or illegal collection of fees would face appropriate sanctions in line with the law.

Parents and school authorities were urged to take advantage of the free registration window to ensure that all eligible pupils are properly enrolled for the upcoming placement examination.
