The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that digital certificates for candidates who participated in the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates are now available.
The examination body made the announcement on Friday through its official social media platform, informing candidates that they can now access their certificates through the WAEC Digital Certificate Platform.
According to WAEC, candidates who sat for the 2026 WASSCE can log on to the examination council’s official website and obtain their digital certificates.
How Candidates Can Access Their Digital Certificates
Candidates who participated in the 2026 WASSCE for School Candidates can access their certificates through the WAEC Digital Certificate Platform.
The digital certificate system allows candidates to obtain and manage their certificates electronically without depending solely on physical copies.
Candidates are advised to use the official WAEC portal when accessing their certificates and to provide the required details to complete the process.
Benefits of the WAEC Digital Certificate
WAEC highlighted several benefits of its digital certificate system, particularly for candidates, educational institutions and organisations.
One major advantage is that candidates can easily share their certificates with schools, universities, employers and other organisations when required.
The digital system also provides institutions and organisations with a secure way to verify the authenticity of WAEC certificates. This can make the certificate verification process faster and more convenient.
The introduction of digital certificates is part of WAEC’s efforts to improve the accessibility, security and verification of examination certificates through technology.
Candidates who took part in the 2026 WASSCE for School Candidates are therefore encouraged to access their digital certificates through the official WAEC platform and keep their certificate details secure.
