Understanding the problems created by bad political leaders helps pupils recognize the importance of good leadership and encourages them to aspire to be responsible and ethical leaders in the future.

Lesson Content:

Problems Caused By Bad Political Leaders

Bad political leaders can create many problems in our society. These problems can affect everyone and make our lives difficult. Some problems caused by bad political leaders are:

  1. Corruption: Bad leaders often take money meant for public use and use it for themselves.
  2. Poor Infrastructure: When leaders do not manage resources well, roads, schools, and hospitals become poor.
  3. Unemployment: Bad leaders may not create enough jobs, making it hard for people to find work.
  4. Insecurity: Without good leadership, there can be more crime and less safety.
  5. Economic Problems: Bad decisions by leaders can make the country’s economy weak.

Causes of These Problems:

  • Greed: Leaders who are greedy may take more than their fair share.
  • Lack of Planning: When leaders do not plan well, resources are wasted.
  • Nepotism: Hiring friends and family instead of qualified people can lead to poor service.
  • Lack of Accountability: When leaders are not held responsible for their actions, they may continue to act badly.
  • Ignorance: Leaders who do not understand their roles or issues may make poor decisions.

Lesson Evaluation:

To evaluate the learning, the teacher asks pupils to:

  1. List three problems caused by bad political leaders.
  2. Explain one cause of these problems.
  3. Draw a picture showing one problem caused by bad political leaders.
  4. Discuss with your group how bad political leaders affect your community.
