Revision of First Term Topics

1. God as Creator

God is the Almighty Creator of everything we see. He created the heavens, the earth, the sun, moon, stars, plants, animals, and human beings.

Some things God created are:

1. The world and everything in it.
2. Man and woman (Adam and Eve).
3. Animals and birds.
4. Plants and trees.

2. The Story of Adam and Eve

God created the first man, Adam, and the first woman, Eve. He put them in a beautiful garden called the Garden of Eden. God told them not to eat from one special tree, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the fruit from the forbidden tree. Because of their disobedience, they were sent out of the Garden of Eden.

3. Jesus as God’s Son

Jesus is the Son of God. God sent Jesus to the world to save us from our sins. Jesus was born in Bethlehem to Mary and Joseph.

The birth of Jesus is celebrated every year as Christmas.

4. Loving God and Our Neighbours

Jesus taught us to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind. We also need to love our neighbours as ourselves. Loving our neighbours means being kind, helpful, and caring towards everyone around us.

Ways to show love to God:

1. Praying to God.
2. Obeying God’s commands.
3. Worshipping Him.

Ways to show love to our neighbours:

1. Sharing our things.
2. Helping those in need.
3. Being kind to everyone.

5. Respect for Elders

The Bible teaches us to respect our parents and all elders. Respecting elders means listening to them, obeying their good instructions, and speaking politely to them.

Ways to show respect to elders:

1. Greeting them politely.
2. Listening when they speak.
3. Helping them when they need it.
4. Obeying their instructions.

6. Simple Prayers

Prayer is talking to God. We can pray to thank God, ask for His help, or tell Him our needs. We should pray every day.

An example of a simple prayer:

1. “Dear God, thank You for today. Thank You for my family and friends. Please help me to be a good child. Amen.”
